Local Boutique Offers Beautiful and Unique Gifts
Stacy Feldpausch is the proud owner of Country Cupboard Floral and Gift, a fine shop in Portland that features flowers as well as many other beautiful and unique gifts.
Stacy grew up in Portland. She attended St. Patrick School and MSU. After starting a family, she bought Country Cupboard in 2008 from her aunt, Kathy Bengel.
Stacy expanded the business to include a wide selection of unique gifts. The shop has become much like a traditional boutique, and it offers products that aren’t found elsewhere in the community.
“I strive to find items that are exclusive to this area.” She explained.
An example of her unique offerings is that of Chala handbags. “These handbags are Vegan friendly,” she said. “They are very stylish as well as very functional. Another product that I offer is that of Caldrea. It is a line of cleaning products that are environmentally friendly,” Stacy explained.
To enhance the effectiveness of her business, Stacy attends trade show and gift shows. She recently returned from a show in Chicago that was sponsored by Fabtech, where she learned about laser technology. Stacy hopes to offer this technology to her customers. “It will allow me to engrave a picture of a person or of a pet onto a memory stone, thus making the stone a personalized keepsake,” Stacy said.
Stacy is proud to be part of Portland. “I love it here. I like how people know one another so well and how we are so proud of our city,” she said.
