Potterville 11-9-9-11-40
Coach Mark Scheurer said his team started off, “very cold in the first half,” but they, “started to warm up in the second half.”
The Shamrocks scored 21 points in the third quarter to take the lead. Scheurer said that all, “21 points in the quarter were scored by Scheurer (13) and Leahy (8).”
Scheurer went on to say, “It is not a secret who are best two shooters are, shooting percentages back it up as do points per game. When it is time to win, we are doing a better job as a team going through our one and two options and they are Brandon and Nate. Others will continue to find their opportunities the more we go through them. When they get that opportunity, they need to make the most of it.”
The Shamrocks were led by Brandon Scheurer who had 22 points, four rebounds and three assists, including a three pointer late that broke the 36-36 tie and two free throws that put the Shamrocks up 41-38. Nate Leahy chipped in nine points and five rebounds. Nathan Lehnert played a solid game with four points and seven rebounds.
Saint Patrick is now 5-10 overall, and 2-9 in the CMAC.
The Shamrocks play at home Friday against the Aggies of Dansville.
