Shamrock Girls Pick up Two Wins


The St. Pats girls basketball team improved their record to 12 and six on the season with wins over Dansville and Saranac this week.

On Thursday, the Shamrocks traveled to Dansville where the defeated the Aggies, 47-15. Katie Coyne had 14 points and seven rebounds. Kylee Schrauben had eight points and eight rebounds.

In regards to the Dansville game, Coach Al Schrauben said his team, “Didn't shoot the ball well in the first half, did much better in the second half.”

On Saturday, the Shamrocks hosted the Redskins of Saranac in a make up of a game that was snowed out on February 9th. St. Pats beat Saranac 47-36. Katie Coyne had 11 points. Kylee Schrauben had nine points. Lexi Haas had six points and three steals, while Amelia Schrauben had six points, three steals and eight rebounds.

In this game, Coach Schrauben said that his team played a, “Pretty sound game. Just gradually pulled away.”

The Shamrocks next action is at home on Tuesday when the host the Bath Fighting Bees. Bath is 11 and five on the year.
