Duff, Chadwick and Associates is a law firm that has served Portland and Ionia since 2005.
Pat Duff and Thomas Chadwick are partners of the firm. Pat has been practicing law in Portland since 1983, now over 37 years. Cheryl Chadwick, Eric Matwiejczyk, and Hanna Bloom are other attorneys of the office. Their combined expertise is in matters which include estate administration, wills, trusts, Social Security disability law, mediation, driver’s license restoration, criminal law, family law, bankruptcy and landlord-tenant law.
“People come to us when they have a concern or when they want to avoid a future problem from happening,” explained Pat. “We help them with these things. As attorneys, we provide people with a sense of security and of well-being, and I find great satisfaction in doing so. It’s why I do what I do,” he said.
The law firm’s commitment to the community extends beyond legal services.
“I currently serve on the Portland School Board and in the past have served on the Portland City Council,” said Pat. “I am also a member of the Portland Community Orchestra and I enjoy running on the river trail.”
Pat speaks in glowing terms about Portland.
“Portland is a wonderful community,” he said. “We have two great school systems, an outstanding river trail, great restaurants, two rivers, and even a band shell.”
Pat plans to practice law as long as he is able to do so.
“I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to practice law in this fine city for over 37 years. There’s a solution to every problem. I want people to know that we will help them solve their problems,” he said.
