3rd Annual John "Grizzly" Hillis Kickball Tournament seeking teams and sponsors

Organizers of the 3rd Annual John "Grizzly" Hillis Kickball Tournament are now accepting teams and sponsors.

This is an event I began organizing in 2021 after tragically losing my brother to suicide that March. John loved playing kickball as a kid and carried on the tradition with his nieces and nephews as an adult. In his honor we continue to raise awareness on mental health and strive to end the stigma that follows.

The 2021 tournament raised $8044.74 and $9476.14 in 2022. The goal for 2023 is $10,000. With the support of local businesses and countless caring people I have no doubt the goal will be reached!. ALL proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (Michigan Chapter).

I have attached the sponsorship and team registration forms for you here. This year offers a few new opportunities, by request, as well as the tried and true favorites!

The event has had outstanding attendance, over 200 each previous year. It is truly an event enjoyed by all. Whether you sponsor, put a team together, or just come and check out the event, it would be great to have you take part. 2023 will offer a food truck, dunk tank, yard games throughout the grounds, and of course our raffle with outstanding gifts and baskets.
