Lady Raiders defeat Laingsburg

The Portland High School girls basketball team hosted Laingsburg on Tuesday night.

The Lady Raiders earned a 47-24 victory.

Laingsburg was led offensively by senior Ellie Baynes with 11 points.

Junior guard Malia Thelen led Portland with 17 points. Freshman guard Lilly Thelen added 12 points and freshman guard Summer Stopcynski had nine points.

The Raiders will travel to Ionia on Friday to face the Bulldogs in a CAAC White contest. Ionia is currently 9-8 overall, and 3-3 in the CAAC White.
