Lady Raiders fall to Holt

On Saturday evening, the Portland High School girls basketball team traveled to Holt to face the Rams in a CAAC cross over content.

Despite scoring 18 points in the final quarter of play, Portland lost to Holt 50-37.

Holt was led by senior Janae Tyler who scored 13 points.

The Raiders were led by junior guard Malia Thelen with 12 points and sophomore guard Paige Spedoske with seven points.

Portland 3 – 6 – 10 – 18 – 37

Holt 16 – 15 – 11 – 8 – 50

The Raiders move to 7-4 overall. They are 3-0 in the CAAC White. On Tuesday they travel to Grand Ledge (3-7 overall) before hosting CAAC White rival Lansing Catholic on Friday night. Lansing Catholic is currently 7-4 overall, and tied with Portland at 3-0 in the CAAC White.
