Coaching Staff Comments:

“Tonight was a great marker of areas we are on track for and areas that we need to grow quickly. Graduating 5 starting seniors last year left us with gaps in our lineup and defensive holes this year- that we are working on finding the best fit for. The girls did a great job at the plate and were aggressively searching for the pitches we wanted to hit. Our offense seemed to find rhythms and we took advantage of errors and turned them into runs. Defensively, we have work to do finding the best fit in our lineup and we are excited to keep working towards the big and little concepts throughout the season.”

The St. Patrick Shamrocks Varsity Softball team hosted Morrice on Thursday and won both games.

Bella Russman had a home-run and 1 RBI.

Coaching Staff Comments:

“After our season opening doubleheader last night and moving straight into another double header this evening, we tried to make improvements through conversation and transparency to situations we came across last night. Our pitchers came out solid and Izzy Anthony had a great first Varsity night behind the plate. Overall, we had a good approach at the plate and defensively were much more confident and vocal which elevated our execution.”

The Shamrocks host Webberville on Monday. The game begins at 4:00 at the Father Flohe Field.
