Lake Odessa Fair Derby Event - September 4th

The Lake Odessa Fair rescheduled derby and fireworks event will happen Saturday September 4th. The event presented by Unique Motorsports has continued to grow into a favorite community event.

“We were devastated by the unfortunate weather during our 5-day June event. Most events scheduled to happen just could not with the amount of rain that hit us. Parking on the grounds was impossible, and one of the greatest factors in many of the canceled events. However, amid it all support from the community poured in and encouraged us to do as much as we could with the cards we were dealt,” explained LOF President Bill King. “We had an opportunity with Unique to reschedule for next weekend and decided we wanted to bring this to the community to send off summer as well as it has always been a great revenue generator for the fair.”

The derby show starts at 6pm next Saturday. Any presale ticket holders will be able to get in at 4:30pm. Gate ticket sales will begin at 5pm.

One of the best fireworks shows around will happen after the derby concludes. LOF will also be opening the “Beer Barn” to serve patrons after the derby event. Anyone interested in camping at the new Lake Odessa Fairground facility can check out our website for information on the great amenities. Spots are still available for Labor Day weekend.

Derby tickets are $15 a piece and free for kids 5 and under. Parking for the event will be $5. Trucking parking spots in the derby are available for $20. Derby tickets can be purchased online at www.lakeodessafair.org or purchased in Lake Odessa at Conrad’s Quick Lube, Lake Odessa Pharmacy or New Walker’s Pharmacy.
