Obituary for Gary Allen Vos

Gary Allen Vos, age 66, of Portland, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 16, 2023. Born on October 22, 1957, Gary's journey through life was marked by love, laughter, and a steadfast commitment to those around him.

Gary's educational journey led him to graduate from Grand Haven High School, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with purpose and accomplishment.

A true sports enthusiast, Gary was a beacon of athleticism. His love for all sports was undeniable, but it was on the golf course and in the bowling alley that he found a special place to showcase his skills. His time on the Portland 1860 Blue Sox Baseball team exemplified his dedication to sportsmanship and camaraderie.

On October 26, 1985, Gary embarked on a lifelong journey of dedication and companionship, marrying the love of his life, Donna Kay (Gardner) Bouchard, at the Grand Haven Church of the Nazarene. Together, they created a bond that withstood the tests of time, celebrating 42 years of shared joy and unwavering support. Gary's devotion to his family and his role as a loving husband will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him.

In addition to his athletic pursuits and loyalty to family and friends, Gary was a man of deep faith. As he bids farewell to this world, he joins his Lord and Savior, finding solace and eternal peace.

Preceding Gary in death are his father, Raymond G. Vos; mother, Norma Doris (SeeKamp) Vos; brother-in-law, Dan Warner. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Donna Vos; children, Stephen (Lanette) Bouchard, Eric (Tara) Bouchard, Casey (Kayleigh) Vos, Jordan (Shelby) Vos, Anna (Justin) Lilley, and Elisabeth Knight; grandchildren, Seraiah, Micah, Brody, and Madison Bouchard, Josiah (Alliah) Bouchard and their children, Jaxson and Adrianna Bouchard, Hayden and Bristol Vos, Wesley, Chase, and Vera Vos, and Graham and Genevieve Lilley; and sisters, Sue (Kenneth) Bross and family and Carol Warner and family.
