Obituary for Mary E Green

Mary E Green (Walker) passed away in her home surrounded by family on December 2, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Harold G Green. Mary was born in McBain MI to the late William and Ida Mae Walker (Bodrey). She was 1 of 8 children growing up in Portland MI, graduating from Portland High School in 1941. November 1, 1941 she married the love of her life Harold G Green. Together they raised 4 children.

Mary and Harold owned and operated Harold Green Realty in Portland until they retired.

She was a life time member of VFW Post 4090 in Portland MI. Mary enjoyed playing cards, spending weekends with their family at the lake in the summer. After retirement Mary and Harold moved to Bonita Springs FL, where she continued to enjoy playing cards, softball and bike riding. Together they traveled all over the USA. Most important to her was the time spent with her loving family.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 79 years Harold G Green of Bonita Springs FL, children Harold (Reuben) Green and wife JoAnn of MI, Carol L Werner and husband Tom of IN, Evelyn K Livingston and husband Kim of MI and son-in-law Lynn C Brown of Bonita Springs FL, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by 7 siblings, her daughter Sharon W Brown, 2 grandson and 1 great grandson.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Hope Hospice 27200 Imperial Pkwy, Bonita Springs FL.
