Mary "Jean" Pierce, born June 13, 1937, to Ann (Wurmlinger) and Joseph Repp in Croswell, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2024, in Portland, Michigan after an extended illness. She was proceeded in death by her husband John "Jack" Pierce and her brother William Repp and sister-in-law Arlyce Repp. Jean is survived by her siblings James Repp (Celeste), Janet Branch (Robert), Robert Repp (Diana), Neil Repp (Janet), Judith Butler (Eugene), her four children, Thomas Pierce (Shannon), Mary Beth Heydrick (Douglas), Nancy Lufkin (Christopher), Kevin Pierce as well as seven grandchildren.

Jean lived most of her early life in Lexington Michigan and was an adventurer at heart. Shortly after graduation Jean moved to Washington D.C. where she worked for the F.B.I. After returning from D.C. she worked at Mercy Hospital in Port Huron and married Jack Pierce of Emmett, MI on June 22, 1963. The two eventually settled in Sterling Heights to raise their four children. Jean was active in the local school PTA, her children's activities, and enjoyed adventures with the Angus Bowling Ladies. Jean's favorite role was Grandmother. She treasured her time with each of her seven grandchildren and enjoyed summers at her Lexington cottage. In Lexington she was a devoted member of the St. Denis Catholic Church as well as the Lexington Garden Club. Jean had a gift for connecting others, bringing her family together, and making people feel cared for. Her kind spirit and quick wit will not be forgotten. The family would like to thank The Brook of Portland and County Living Senior Care for the beautiful care they provided Jean in her last few years.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Denis Catholic Church-Ava Maria Parish of Lexington, MI on Monday, January 15th. Visitation will begin at 10am, with services at 11am, followed by a luncheon at the Ava Maria Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice or the Lewy Body Dementia Association in Jean's name. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
