Obituary for Pamela S. Brown
Pamela Sue Brown, our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and remarkable woman passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the age of 73 in her home, surrounded by family. Pam was born on September 7, 1951 in Portland, Michigan, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Moyer) Wieber.
She met the love of her life in seventh grade when she visited the Brown family home to ride horses with Bill's sister, Anne. Bill and Pam began dating in 1967 when Bill was a senior and Pam was a junior at St. Patrick School. The couple married shortly after, on July 18, 1969.
Throughout her life, Pam kept her faith and family at the center. Members of the community may know her from her nearly 30 years of leadership as the President of the Portland Right to Life or from her servitude to Portland St. Patrick Parish.
Pam most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved her special group of friends self-branded the WEANIES. She loved playing board games and cards, especially euchre, Monopoly, crossword puzzles. She also loved praying the rosary.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth, and in-laws, Burton and Marian Brown.
Surviving her are her husband of 55 years, Bill; children, Sandy (Rob) Pearson; Dave (Melody) Brown; Burt (Stacey) Brown; grandchildren, Grace (Shane), Abby (Jacob), Marian, Annabelle, Ethan, Arlo, Joel, and Billy; great-grandchildren Adalyn and Emerson; siblings, Jim Wieber, Jeanne (Wieber) Adams, Mike (Lori) Wieber; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Those wishing to make a donation in her honor may give to Portland Right to Life or Portland St. Patrick Church.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. The rosary will be prayed at 2:00 p.m.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Mike Alber at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland.
