Obituary for Richard Leo Breimayer

Obituaries

Richard Leo Breimayer, of Portland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 1, 2023 at the age of 79. He was born in Belding, Michigan, the son of Andrew and Esther (Ulrich) Breimayer on April 26, 1943. Dick enjoyed attending and watching sporting events, camping, and hunting. He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 51 years, Nancy Breimayer; brother, Thomas Breimayer; and sisters, Betty Spitzley and Nancy Sherrick. Surviving are his sons, Rick (Brenda Decess) Breimayer, Scott (Amy Hengesbach) Breimayer, and Mark (Crystal Layman) Breimayer; 7 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Jim (Jeanice) Breimayer and Sally (Dan) Leik; sister-in-law, Kay Breimayer; and brother-in-law, Phil Spitzley.


The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Mike Alber at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2023 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3-7 p.m. with the rosary being prayed at 3:00 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland.
