PFCU enables the Daughters of the American Revolution to deliver Constitution kits to 1,787 students
The Daughters of the American Revolution is an all female, non-political volunteer group dedicated to historical preservation, education and patriotism. Members are required to prove they have an ancestor who took part in the Revolutionary War.
Constitution Week is celebrated annually September 17-23 to commemorate the signing of America’s most important document. This year, with the generous help of PFCU, The Lansing Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was able to distribute Constitution kits to 1,787 students in Ionia, Clinton, and Ingham Counties and give 14 in-school presentations on the Constitution. Ironically, 1,787 is a significant number because it was in 1787 that the Constitution was signed.
