The Portland High School girls tennis team looks to build on last years success as they start the 2025 season.

Last year the team was 6-4 overall, 5-0 in the CAAC-White, and were the CAAC-White League Champions.

When asked about her key returning players, Coach Crystal Lowe said, “We are fortunate to have 8 returning players on our 12-player lineup. We should see notable contributions from all 8 players:

1 singles Cecelia Little

2 singles Annabelle Brown

1 doubles Amari Adler & Katelyn Bruse

2 doubles Rylan Johns & Allison SaintAmour (had a very successful 2024 season at 3 doubles)

3 doubles Miya Feldpausch (& Lexie Huhn when she is cleared to play after recovering from surgery).”

When asked about promising newcomers, Lowe said, “We should see significant contributions from freshman Reese Burns. She will be playing 3 singles this season. Our exchange student, senior Martina Tramannoni, will be playing 4 singles this season.”

Even with several experienced players returning, the squad need to make up for two stand out player who graduated last year.  Lowe said, “We graduated two of our top players in 2024: 1 singles Bella Virk and half of our 1 doubles, Ally Logel.”

When asked about her expectations for the team this season, Lowe said, “While we again face one of the toughest D-3 Regionals (3 of the MHSTeCA D-3 top ten teams are in our regional!), we are confident we can make a strong run at repeating as CAAC-White League Champs. We have our sights set on that goal and will work hard all season to achieve it.”

2025 will be Lowe’s 7th season as the Girls Varsity coach, and her 27th season coaching in the Portland Tennis program.
