Portland Cross Country Teams Complete Season at Pre-Regional and Regional Meets

The Portland Cross Country Season came to a close on Halloween with Junior Ben Wasmus competing at the MHSAA Regional Meet at DeWitt.  Wasmus was the only Raider who qualified for the Regionals and completed the 5K course in 21 minutes and 48 seconds. He placed 67th overall.

Last week the Raider Boys and Girls Varsity teams competed in the Pre-Regional Meet at Corunna.  In that meet Wasmus led the Boy’s team with a time of 20 minutes and 39 seconds.  He was followed by Devin Spitzley, Ethan Rockey, Mathew Seavey, and Bryce DeShane respectively.  The Girls Varsity was led by Mya Estell with a time of 23 minutes, 33 seconds.  Elaina Volk, Valerie Hoppes, Ellie Pung, and Destiny Foltz also placed for the Raider Girls.
