Special Considerations For Medicare

Are you having problems deciding what your best choices are for Medicare? Do you see those commercials on TV that sound like the answer to your prayers, but wonder if they’re too good to be true? Are you left wondering if you should switch plans, because those flyers and commercials sound so much better than your present plan? This short presentation by a former Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP) counselor is intended to improve your critical thinking skills to help you make better decisions regarding this very important choice. Please join us at Portland District Library on Thursday, September 28, at 10:00 a.m. to get your questions answered.

Witch Crossing

Halloween is just around the corner, and witches have taken to the night sky. But not every witch is skilled and flying her broom, and you never know when one is going to crash at your house. Register any time, and on October 2 pick up a bag with everything you’ll need to make your own pair of witch legs. Will your witch have fallen head-first into a cauldron, or will she have crashed into a bush? The choice is yours! Ages 16 and up, registration is required.

Virtual STEM Club: Fingerprint Frenzy

Did you know no two fingerprints are the same? Did you know we leave our fingerprints all over the place? This month's Virtual STEM Club: Fingerprint Frenzy will explore fingerprints and some fun ways we can find fingerprints at home. Registration for Take-and-Make bags begins Wednesday, September 20. This program is recommended for ages 6-12, requires parental supervision, and is limited to 35 patrons.
