Portland Football clinches CAAC White Championship with 41-0 win over Lansing Sexton
On Friday night, the Portland High School football team traveled to Lansing Sexton for a battle of unbeaten teams, and a game which would determine the title of the CAAC White conference.
The Raiders would put on a dominate performance and defeat Sexton 41-0 to move to 8-0 on the season.
Junior linebacker AJ Weber led the Portland defense with 12 tackles. Senior linebacker Mark Meyers and senor defensive back Conner Kazamer each had five tackles for the Raiders.
Senior running back Caden Thelen led the Portland offense rushing for 158 yards on 16 carries with two touchdown runs. Junior quarterback Dominic Novara threw for 83 yards and two touchdowns.

With the loss, Sexton moves to 7-1 overall, 6-1 in the CAAC White. They will travel to Lansing Eastern (0-8 overall) next week to finish out their regular season schedule.
The Raiders will host Berrien Springs for their regular season finale. The Shamrocks come into the game 5-2 overall. They are the Lakeland Conference champions, finishing league play a perfect 4-0.
