Portland Football falls to South Christian in State Semi-Finals

A remarkable season for the Portland High School football team came to and end on Saturday when the Raiders fell to Grand Rapids South Christian 21-6 in the MHSAA Division 4 Semi-Finals at Forest Hills Eastern. Despite a valiant effort by the Raiders, the defending State Champion Sailors proved too much to handle.

The Raiders 2023 season ended with the team holding an impressive 12-1 record, a CAAC White Championship, and MHSAA District and Regional titles.

South Christian advances to face Harper Woods in the State Championship at Ford Field next Saturday. Harper Woods defeated Goodrich 35-24 at Livonia Franklin in their Semi-Finals contest.
