Portland Football rolls Lansing Catholic
The Portland High School football team traveled to Lansing Catholic on Friday night for a CAAC White league contest. The Raiders spoiled the festive homecoming for the Cougars, with Portland securing a 35-14 win.
In terms of total offense, Portland would finish with 383 yards compared to 128 yards by the Cougars.
Junior running back Kayden Dickerson led the Portland offense with 189 yards and two touchdowns rushing, plus one receiving touchdown. Senior Barrett Brennan added 88 yards rushing and one touchdown.
Senior quarterback Dominic Novara went three for four passing with 33 yards and two touchdowns. Senior receiver Christopher Battley had two receptions for 27 yards and one touchdown.
Dickerson and senior Keaton McGregor each had one interception for the Raiders.
With the win, the Raiders improve to 5-0 overall, 4-0 in the CAAC White. This coming Friday the Raiders will host Eaton Rapids for Homecoming.
The Greyhounds are currently 0-5 overall, 0-4 in the CAAC White. Last week they fell to Olivet 58-6.
