Portland High School’s Malia Thelen to continue basketball career at Lawrence Tech
Malia Thelen recently signed to play basketball for Lawrence Technological University next year. Thelen is a senior standout on the Raider basketball team.
When asked about her decision to attend Lawrence Tech, Thelen told the Beacon, “The coaching staff is amazing and so caring. LTU has great programs to help me get on my track towards orthodontics, and the people/players are great!”
In addition to three years playing varsity basketball at Portland, Thelen also played varsity soccer and golf for three years, and plans to play varsity softball this spring.
