Portland’s Ashley Bower hits 1,000 Career Point mark, Breaks School Record

Ashley Bower, a junior on the Portland High School girls basketball team, is now the school’s career point record holder.

Bower hit 1,000 points in the team’s district semi-final game against Alma.

In the district championship game against Belding, Bower broke the school’s record of 1,031 career points, previously held by Lindsey Pettit.

Bower currently has 1,074 points as her and her Lady Raider teammates prepare to face Escanaba in the MHSAA quarterfinals tonight at Houghton Lake.
