Portland's Evan Blackmer to continue Hockey career at Adrian College

Portland High School senior Evan Blackmer confirmed his decision to continue his education and hockey career at Adrian College.

Blackmer played amateur hockey for 10 years with the Lansing Hockey Club and has played Varsity Hockey with the Mid-Michigan Marauders for the past 2 years.

From 2015-2019, with the Lansing Hockey Club, Blackmer compiled 118 goals, 208 assists, for 326 points over 145 games. As an amateur player, Blackmer celebrated a lengthy resume of Championships, including 3 Little Caesars Playoff Championships, 2 Little Caesars League Championships, 2017/18 International Silver Sticks Championship, 2018 District Championship, and a 2018 MAHA State Championship Final Four appearance.

As a member of the Marauders, Blackmer contributed 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points over 39 games. He was named team captain of the 20/21 season and helped lead the Marauders to their first ever regional championship and first appearance at the MHSSA State Championship Final Four.

In addition to securing his spot in the Adrian Bulldogs Hockey Program, Blackmer plans to study Exercise Science and Athletic Training.
