Portland’s Lauren Rowe to join Montcalm Community College Volleyball Team
Portland High School senior Lauren Rowe recently signed to play volleyball at Montcalm Community College next year.
While at Portland, Rowe participated in volleyball for four years and in track for one year. For volleyball she received all conference honors, most valuable player award, all-time career high kills record, and all academic honors.
When asked about her decision to attend Montcalm Community College, Rowe said, “I chose MCC to continue my volleyball career for another 2 years.”
With its main campus in Sidney, the Centurion athletic teams will participate in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA). In addition to volleyball, the school is starting programs in men’s golf, as well as men’s and women’s basketball, bowling, clay target shooting and cross country.
