Raider Cross Country results from Greater Lansing Cross Country Championship
The Boys and Girls Varsity cross country teams had a strong showing at the Greater Lansing Cross Country Championship on October 12, held at the scenic Ledge Meadows Golf Course. With over 60 teams and 460 runners participating, the competition was fierce.
Andrew Feldpausch led the team, finishing just outside the top 30 in 37th place with a personal record (PR) of 17:00, improving by 6 seconds. Owen Moore followed closely at 17:17, while Freshmen duo Liam DeWitt (17:50) and Donnie Richmond (18:17) also made solid contributions. Tanner McNair rounded out the team with a time of 21:38, while Noah Huffine, returning from injury, achieved a significant PR of 3:05, finishing at 22:03.
Leading the way for the girls was standout runner, Avery Wezensky finishing in 20:57. Right behind her was Paige Weber who set a PR by 17 seconds, coming in at 21:18, and Lauren Spitzley also recorded a personal best with a time of 22:09. Next up was Josephine Polasek at 22:37, and Karagan Calley achieving a 49-second PR at 23:47. Rounding out the team was Izzy Fedewa who ran a PR of 30 seconds, finishing at 23:36, and Senior Anna Heath who marked a season-best at 24:47.
Next up for both teams will by the CAAC White Jamboree #3 on Thursday, where they will look to build on their strong performances!
