Raider Cross Country teams face muddy conditions at Bath Invitational




The PHS Boys and Girls cross country teams were back in action after a 10-day break, running in the Bret Clements Bath Invitational on Saturday, September 7th.


The Varsity Boys were up first to take on the challenging, muddy course. It was another great TEAM race where the boys finished 8th out of 14 teams.  Leading the way was Andrew Feldpausch (JR) who medaled for the 3rd straight race finishing 13th out of 104 runners with a time of 17:28. Owen Moore (JR) was next at 18:25, followed by Donnie Richmond (FR) at 18:41 and Liam DeWitt (FR) at 19:18. Rounding out the scoring was the first time runner and JV football player, Keyhan Page (SO) who came in with a solid 19:38. Our next runner, also a duel sport athlete was Tanner McNair who also plays soccer, finishing at 21:28.


The Varsity Girls team was led by Senior Avery Wezensky who finished 10th out of 115 runners, finishing with her season best-time of 20:45, which was also her 3rd straight medal performance. Up next was Paige Weber (SO) with a time of 22:41, followed by Josephine Polasek (SO) 23:15, which was a PR by 28 seconds. Rounding out the runners were Karagan Calley (FR) 24:55, Anna Health (SR) 25:18, Izzy Fedewa (FR) 26:10 a personal best by 39 seconds, and Veda Smith (JR) with a season best 26:53.


The JV Girls finished the day strong with some personal and season best times. Willa Almy (JR) with a 1:30 improvement, Abby Seavey (JR) with a 2:11 improvement. Brynn Nelson (JR) with a personal best by 2:21 and Peyton Rocky (SO) also with a great outing!


All runners are back in action, Friday 9/13 at the MSU Auto Owners invitational at Forest Akers Golf course on the Michigan State campus.
