Raider Cross Country teams have strong performance at CAAC White Jamboree




The Boys and Girls Varsity cross country teams had an impressive performance at the CAAC White Jamboree held at Lakewood on October 1st. The Boys team secured a strong 2nd place finish out of 7 teams, while the Girls team placed 4th.

 

The Boys kicked off the meet on a challenging, winding course through the woods. Owen Moore led the way, finishing 2nd overall with a time of 16:57. Andrew Feldpausch followed closely at 17:33, with Liam DeWitt finishing at 17:38 and Donnie Richmond clocking in at 17:58, both achieving personal records (PR) by 6 and 15 seconds, respectively. Kehyan Page rounded out the scoring with a solid 19:25. Tanner McNair also flashed with a season-best time, improving by 16 seconds, while Noah Huffine and Robert Taylor continued to gain experience with their runs.

 

The Girls team also had a fantastic night, featuring numerous personal and season records. Avery Wezensky led the charge with a time of 20:50, followed by Paige Weber at 21:35 (PR by 13 seconds) and Josephine Polasek at 22:36 (PR by 52 seconds). Lauren Spitzley 23:10 and Karagan Calley 23:36 also delivered strong performances with season-best times. Other notable runners included Izzy Fedewa (PR by 64 seconds), Claire Lyon (season record by 81 seconds), Veda Smith (PR by 24 seconds), Anna Heath, Willa Almy (season record by 30 seconds), Abby Seavey (season record by 55 seconds), and Peyton Rockey (PR by 19 seconds).

 

Overall, the hard work and dedication of both teams were evident, and their efforts paid off with impressive results.
