Raider softball drops two to Grand Ledge

On Tuesday, the Portland High School softball team hosted the Grand Ledge Comets for a double header.

Game 1: Grand Ledge 10, Portland 0

The Raiders struggled at the plate in the first game and were only able to get two hits. One by sophomore Autumn Reffitt and one by freshman Bella Spitzley.

Junior Jayden Townsend pitched the complete game for Portland striking out five Comets.

Game 2: Grand Ledge 10, Portland 3

Portland tallied six hits in the second game of the night. Spitzley went three for three including a triple. Townsend, sophomore Bailee Fish and Reffitt each added one hit.

Spitzley pitched the complete game striking out five.

On Saturday, the Raiders will host St. Patrick School and Owosso for the Buche Memorial Cancer Tournament at PHS. Game times are set for 10:00, 12:00 and 2:30.
