Raider wrestling team run ends in State Quarter-Finals

The Portland High School wrestling team traveled to Kalamazoo on Friday to face Algonac. The Raiders fell 42-28.
According to Michigan Grappler, “Really good dual that saw both teams pick up some upsets. Algonac ended up winning nine weights to Portland's five. The Raiders made a late push but Langewicz sealed it with a tight 4-2 decision, putting Algonac up eight heading into the final match. The Muskrats win their Team State debut.”

Algonac would later be knocked out by Whitehall 40-27 in the semi-finals.
The team finals are set for Saturday at 3:45 and will see Dundee face Whitehall.
