Shamrock boys lose close one to PW
On Wednesday, December 13th, the Shamrocks travelled to Westphalia for a CMAC matchup with the PW Pirates. The Shamrocks played well, but just couldn't make it over the hump, losing 55-50.

The second quarter brought some hot shooting from behind the 3 point line for the Shamrocks, with Brady Leonard, Jerryd Scheurer, Brayden Simon and Charlie Thelen all hitting threes. The Shamrocks were fighting hard, but still came up a bit short, losing the quarter 14-13 and heading into halftime down 28-20.

The fourth quarter saw PW just a touch better than the Shamrocks. Brady Leonard, Jerryd Scheurer and Charlie Thelen all scored for St. Patrick.
Coach Curtis Meyers was excited about his teams prospects for the season. "We came up just a bit short. Its been more than 30 years since we beat PW, and I thought we were going to get them. We were missing Landon Simpson, and that hurt."
Offensive leaders for the Shamrocks were Jerryd Scheurer who had Jerryd Scheurer 18 points 5 assists and 3 steals. Charlie Thelen had 16 points and 5 rebounds. Brady Leonard added 11 points. Brayden Simon drew the tough task of guarding Grady Eklund and did a great job limiting him. The Shamrocks are back in action Friday night at home vs Fowler.
