Shamrock girls defeat Bath

The St. Patrick’s girls basketball team hosted their last home contest of the season Tuesday against the Bath Bees. The Shamrocks jumped to an early lead and despite a comeback by Bath, the Shamrocks held their ground and finished the game strong winning 40-30.
The Shamrocks were led in scoring by Gracelyn Rockey with 15 points and 5 rebounds, Mattie Honsowitz with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Lily Sandborn and Bella Russman each had 6 points. Anna Poppema led the Bees with 9 points.
With the win, the Shamrocks improve to 14-6 overall, 12-5 in the CMAC. They will close out their regular season schedule on Thursday when they travel to Laingsburg.
St. Patrick will start district play at Potterville on Wednesday, March 5th, and will face the winner of Webberville/Potterville.
