Coaching Staff Comments:
Our whole mentality this year is to keep growing each game, each practice, each strategy talk and to peak at the end of the season. The ladies embraced this strategy and did everything we asked them. From strategic base running, selective pitches to a team we played twice in the regular season, and even Hannah’s pick off of their lead off batter was something that was practiced, talked about and executed. We feel that each plate appearance was a quality at bat, and that defensively we made almost every play that we should have… we are thrilled for the girls, the families, and the program itself. Megan’s mentality at the end of the game was very symbolic of our approach- put the ball in play and make the defense show up. Megan did what we asked and we were able to take advantage of her diligence at the plate. The Shamrocks advance to Regionals next weekend to face Alcona at Beal City.
