St. Patrick softball results from Fowler and Bath

On Monday, the St. Patrick’s softball team traveled to Fowler to continue league play. The first game was a battle from the start, but unfortunately the Shamrocks lost the lead late in the game to lose 6-9. Tori Sandborn pitched a complete game and recorded two strikeouts.

Offensively Rylee Scheurer was 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, Gracelyn Rockey was 2-for-3 with a Homerun and three RBIs, Natalee Teachworth and Tori Sandborn each had a double.

For the second game, it was a close game all night long with the lead changing back and forth. Eventually the game was called after 10 innings due to darkness in a 9-9 tie.

Offensively Rylee Schuerer was 6-for-6 and Gracelyn Rockey was 2-for-4 with another Homerun on the night.

Mattie Honsowitz started the game pitching through three innings and recorded three strikeouts. Natlee Teachworth finished the remaining seven innings and recorded six strikeouts.

Unfortunately tonight the Shamrocks defense wasn’t as sharp as it has been throughout the last couple of games. The team recorded too many errors and couldn’t capitalize some big moments to close out the games.

On Wednesday, the Shamrocks traveled to Bath to take on another league opponent. The Shamrocks came up short and lost both games 2-6 and 15-17.

In Game 1, Natalee Teachworth went 2-for-3 and Rylee Scheurer went 2-for-4.

In Game 2, Addie Scheurer went 4-for-4, Gracelyn Rockey went 4-for-5 with a homerun and Laynie Meredith went 3-for-5. They all recorded 3 RBIs.

The Shamrocks season record is now 9-6-1.
