The Portland Community theater is opening back up!

The Portland Civic Players

The Portland Community Theater has been dark for over a year. The ghost light has been lonely. With the restrictions changing, it allows us to put on a show and “come back home”.

The Portland Civic Players will be presenting their grand re-opening show “There’s No Pandemic Show Like Our Pandemic Show……Show!”. This is a variety show that will include singing, dancing and some other surprises from our small, but mighty talented cast. The whole show focuses on the hope we have that we can all return to a “normal” life all while having a little fun!

The show dates are April 16th, 17th and 18th and April 23rd, 24th and 25th. The Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30 pm and the Sunday shows start at 2:30 pm. The price of admission is only $10.00.

We are following all of the safety protocols in place. Masks will be required and seating is limited. We will be seating in groups to avoid cross traffic. You will receive an email before the show with your seating information and this will be separate from the ticket email. We will also have touchless check in. When you purchase your tickets, you will receive a confirmation email with your tickets. Bring your phone or your printed ticket and we will scan them at the door to check you in.

Our new friends, Clique Vocals will be providing pre-show entertainment while you are being seated. We are very happy to welcome this talented duo to our stage. You can check them out here!

Because we have to adhere to social distancing guidelines, tickets are not available online. Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at 517-647-4041 (leave a message if no one is available) or stop in at 231 Maple St. during Box Office hours to talk to one of our amazing volunteers. Box Office hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 8 pm. For more information check out our website at www.portlandcivicplayers.com

With no performances or income for the last year we are excited to bring live theater back to our community and bring life back to our stage. This crazy talented cast is ready to entertain you, no matter what it takes. We have come back home!
